Every year, this award is presented to a Del Norte Business (or Organization). The primary purpose of this award is to recognize an area business for their contribution to our community. This business (or Organization) must have been in operation for at least 1 year, must be a current member in good standing of the Del Norte Chamber of Commerce and must show a dedication to making our community a better place by giving back to our community in some manner. Factors of consideration would include this business's/organization's reputation of honesty and integrity in their practices.

Every year, this award is presented to a Del Norte citizen who has been recognized for his or her personal contributions over a period of years (outside of regular work duties) that have contributed to the welfare and advancement of Del Norte. This personal sacrifice is typically rendered through civic organizations, Community-wide events, religious works, or any number of other public services.
